Tyga Recruits Drake’s Ex-Girlfriend To Star In “Make It Work” Music Video

Soon after Tyga released his song “Make It Work” which seemed to take veiled shots at Drake, the California native insinuated on Twitter that the track was recorded before the recent riff with Drizzy began. Tyga may be refusing to say that the record included disses directed at Drake, but TMZ is reporting the song’s video will definitely include a subliminal jab at the fellow Young Money rapper.

Tyga got Dollicia Bryan to make an appearance in the video. Bryan happens to be a former girlfriend of Drake. Sources told TMZ that Tyga purposely selected the video vixen for the shoot as a way to piss off his rival, and Bryan knowingly took the job.

This is apparently the latest round in the feud between the two rap stars. Drake previously brought former flames into the situation when he randomly began liking Instagram photos of Tyga’s ex Blac Chyna. The Toronto emcee later posted a picture to his own IG page of him with Tyga’s rumored current girlfriend Kylie Jenner.

Bryan shared a photo on Instagram from the “Make It Work” video set. The picture features the model being embraced by Tyga. The caption for the pic reads, “#MakeItwork #Tyga @Kinggoldchains #SETLIFE.”

Freddie Gibbs Names His Favorite Revolutionaries

Indiana emcee Freddie Gibbs may also be known as “Gangsta Gibbs,” but the co-creator of this year’s well-received album Piñata with Madlib wants the world to know that he is actually RBG – revolutionary but gangsta. While doing an interview with Montreality, Gibbs presented his favorite advocates for social change.

“I got Huey Newton tattooed on my back. I just read Assata Shakur’s book, so she’s probably my favorite right now. Her, George L. Jackson, Eldridge Cleaver, Bobby Seale, Che Guevara –  it’s a lot of people,” said Gibbs. “I definitely read a lot of literature on those people. [I'm] definitely well versed on what they do and the principles that they had. I’m into it.”

On the gangsta side of things, Gibbs gave his definition of a true “G.” According to the “Thuggin” rapper, being a gangsta is not about drug dealing or committing violent acts.

“[A 'G' is] just a motherf**ker that do what he’s supposed to do and take care of his family. That’s it,” explained Gibbs. “That don’t mean you sell drugs or no dumb s**t like that. That don’t mean you kill nobody, you carry no gun, or no dumb s**t like that. That don’t mean none of that. It’s you staying to you, and you doing what the f**k you’re supposed to do. And staying the f**k out of my motherf**king way.”

Ne-Yo’s Music Causes A London Woman To Have Seizures

Ne-Yo’s music is the perfect soundtrack to a romantic evening, but for 26-year-old Zoe Fennessy it’s the soundtrack to her seizures.

Daily Mail reports that the London mom begins to have uncontrollable epileptic seizures shortly after hearing the singer’s music and had to have a part of her brain removed in an effort to stop them. Fennessy was clinically diagnosed with musicogenic seizures, which causes her to vomit and become unable to respond to anything when she hears Ne-Yo’s tone of voice.

‘I’ll be walking around the supermarket doing my food shopping and I have to put my earphones in to listen to my own music just in case it comes on,” she told Daily Mail. “Whenever I hear the first few beats of the song I have to drop whatever I am doing and run.”

After having part of her left frontal lobe removed in June, doctors said the procedure was not successful.

Fennessy, who was out of work for six months due to the pain and distress, says she doesn’t dislike Ne-Yo or his music but “it dislikes her.”

Aaliyah Reveals R. Kelly Marriage In A Sneak Preview From Lifetime’s Upcoming Biopic

With the family of late singer Aaliyah refusing to participate in Lifetime’s upcoming (and authorized) Aaliyah: The Princess of R&B biopic, the film will feature none of her actual music as it chronicles her rise to fame to untimely death at age 22.

Starring Alexandra Shipp as the songstress, what the film will feature is her infamous love affair with fellow singer and early mentor R. Kelly. In a newly released sneak preview, watch below as Aaliyah struggles to reveal that she has gotten married without her parents consent.

Executive producer Wendy Williams explained “As promised you will see how she meets R. Kelly, what her father and mother’s reaction was to R. Kelly, when it ends with R. Kelly, how she moves on to Dame Dash.But what you won’t see if the plane crash. I just thought that was distasteful.”

While many have already criticized the project for failing to involve the family as well as the actors chosen to portray key figures including Missy Elliot and Timbaland, viewers will have to wait until it airs on November 15 to form their own opinion.

Whoopi Goldberg Suggests Nicki Minaj May Not Have Known About The History Of Nazism

The controversy over Nicki Minaj’s lyric video for “Only” was a major topic on a lot of morning talk shows yesterday. The View was one of the programs that did a segment on the story, and the hosts’ discussion about the perceived Nazism in Nicki’s clip centered largely around whether the Young Money rapper was even aware of the history of the images used for the video.

“We don’t teach a lot of history anymore,” said moderator Whoopi Goldberg. “We don’t teach the history of the world. We don’t teach the history of World War II. We don’t explain what went on.”

After fellow host Rosie Perez pointed out that Nicki attended the high-performing LaGuardia High School in New York City and guest host Naya Rivera added that everyone should know the Nazi regime is viewed negatively, Goldberg responded, “People don’t know. That’s the thing.”

Rivera then asked, “Nicki Minaj doesn’t know about the Holocaust?”

“I don’t think she did,” Goldberg said. The Oscar-winning actress also put part of the blame on the lack of understanding about issues like Nazism on the education system.

Whether Nicki was actually aware that her lyric video may be seen as offensive has not been settled, but Jeff Osborne, the director of the video, has stated publicly he used Nazism as part of his inspiration for the animated visuals in “Only.” He also refused to apologize for the content.
