Screen Shot 2015-06-13 at 6.43.09 PM

Keri Hilson believes Black people should thank Rachel Dolezal for the work she has done as an employee of the NAACP.

The singer/song writer defended Rachel Dolezal after the Spokane, Washington NAACP president was caught pretended to be Black. Hilson would later say Dolezal had “issues” and that she wasn’t actually defending her.

Much of the highly influential social media block Black Twitter, disagreed with Hilson.

Check out her tweets.

Rick Ross Bails Out New Friends

rickrossmugshot fayette county sheriff office

Rick Ross is such a nice guy.

When he was in jail earlier this week on some trumped up weed charges, he said he met some dudes. Well, those brothers don’t have the financial liberties that the Boss has. When the boss got out, he also posted bond for this undisclosed number of new friends.

That’s what’s up!

NAACP Releases Statement Supporting Rachel Dolezal

rachel dolezal

The NAACP has released a statement addressing the uproar surrounding Rachel Dolezal, the president of the Spokane, WA NAACP chapter who has been identifying as black but is actually a white woman. In their statement, they are offering support to Dolezal and standing by her.

Baltimore, MD – For 106 years, the National Association for the Advancement of Colored People has held a long and proud tradition of receiving support from people of all faiths, races, colors and creeds. NAACP Spokane Washington Branch President Rachel Dolezal is enduring a legal issue with her family, and we respect her privacy in this matter. One’s racial identity is not a qualifying criteria or disqualifying standard for NAACP leadership. The NAACP Alaska-Oregon-Washington State Conference stands behind Ms. Dolezal’s advocacy record. In every corner of this country, the NAACP remains committed to securing political, educational, and economic justice for all people, and we encourage Americans of all stripes to become members and serve as leaders in our organization.

Hate language sent through mail and social media along with credible threats continue to be a serious issue for our units in the Pacific Northwest and across the nation. We take all threats seriously  and encourage the FBI and the Department of Justice to fully investigate each occurrence.

Dolezal’s parents, Ruthanne and Larry, revealed to the media that they are white and so is their daughter. In an interview with the Spokesman-Review, they said that she had been pretending to be a black woman since 2006 or 2007.

Dolezal is currently under investigation to determine whether she violated a code of ethics when she identified herself as white, black and American Indian on an application for the  citizen police ombudsman commission, which she is the chair of.

MC Ren Livid Over Lack Of Inclusion In N.W.A. Movie Promotion

n.w.a. album art

MC Ren was an invaluable component to the success of N.W.A.’s success and without his lyrical contributions the group certainly would not have been as successful.

So when fans see the highly-anticipated movie being heavily promoted, Ren and DJ Yella are not well represented as a part of the controversial rap group’s history in the trailers.

Ren let his explosive views known on Twitter.

“When you have bitches work on a hip hop film that don’t know shit about hip hop this is what happens. How the hell u leave me out after all the work I put into them records,” Ren said. “It’s disrespectful to me, my family and most of all my FANS.”

The native Compton lyricist was particularly vital when Ice Cube left the group after their first album, Straight Outta Compton.

Ren did not offer any venom to the movie’s producers and former N.W.A. members Ice Cube and Dr. Dre. He also had nothing to say to acclaimed director directed by F. Gary Gray. How Ren and others are represented in the movie is not yet known.

The rest of his tweets are below.
