57th Annual Grammy Awards Nominations Include Kendrick Lamar, Drake And More

Kendrick-Lamar

The nominations for the 57th Annual Grammy Awards are slowly being unveiled today, with the big announcement of who is up for Album of the Year being revealed tonight at 7 p.m (PST).  While there are no nominations for Macklemore, Iggy Azalea is the lone rapper in the Record of the Year and Best New Artist categories. From what’s been released so far, nominations for Beyonce were scarce while Pharrell scored two for his megahit “Happy” and album, G I R L.  Even though their highly-anticipated albums have not been released yet,  Kendrick Lamar and Drake both got spots in the Rap Performance category along with Eminem, Childish Gambino and Lecrae. Jhene Aiko’s debut album, Sail Out, earned a spot in the Urban Contemporary Album category but she has some tough competition.
